Prenatal Pilates in Oakland
Prenatal Pilates in Oakland at BK ROOTS Fitness focuses on the ever-changing needs of a pregnant body. With years of experience, instructor and owner Mindy Berla approaches prenatal fitness and postnatal fitness with the target of balance and strength. Women can and should workout safely during pregnancy (with doctor approval) up until birth unless the body says otherwise.
Prenatal workouts at BK ROOTS in Oakland aims at strengthening the upper back (for breastfeeding and holding baby after birth) hips and glutes (for the advent of weight in the mid-section of body) and core for posture and alignment.
Postnatal students are also welcome to take these classes and modifications will be made to accommodate each student.
Each student receives her own springboard and all participants need to be fully vaccinated.
